Release Notes

Program: "tehcrash's MetaTracker", Version 0.1.02

Author(s): Joshua "Crash" Collison

This program is designed to allow users to register other tracking
services, such as FitBit, FatSecret, and Withings, so that they may
aggregate their data into one place, to facilitate the ability to generate
statistical information with the user's data.

Currently, this means that we can download Weight data from Withings, and
Exercise, Food Intake, and Weight data from FatSecret or Fitbit. Once the data is
downloaded, we aggregate data on a week-by-week basis, and determine
expected vs. actual weight loss (using a very simple, and arguably bad
esitmate of the first derivative of the weekly weight loss).

  • This version has Fitbit support in all three categories.
  • This version contains friendlier startup text on the first "page," to help instruct users what to do.
  • All three services now have hyperlinks to their web sites.
  • The GUI on the Statistics view now center aligns data, and shows "percent error" instead of the term "percent off," which could have been confused for weight loss.
  • The Statistics view now shows the largest possible data range, rather than the smallest possible. This will result in having some fields populated with N/A (not available).

Known Bugs and Issues:

  • Fitbit and Fatsecret registration does not always work, as the interior browser frame fails to load the page.
  • The statistics do not give accurate results when gaps occur in the data.
